Lochboisdale is a ferry port on South Uist in the Outer Hebrides.
Like Lochmaddy on North Uist, Lochboisdale is situated on a narrow promontory, from where ferries sail to Mallaig and Barra. Ferries to Oban and Tiree depart from Barra. There are some handy facilities here, including a new marina and a Post Office with a coffee shop. The Loichboisdale Hotel offers a fantastic bar and à la carte menu with beautiful views to admire whilst you dine.
