    Road Directions

    At the end of the M8 motorway join the A8 and follow the signs for Edinburgh city centre. On approaching Princes Street turn right at the traffic lights on to Lothian Road, then take the first turning on the right, directly in front of the Caledonian Hilton , The Rutland hotel is on the corner on the right hand side, past the taxi rank.. The journey from Junction 1 of the M8 to the hotel usually takes around 40 minutes.

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- From the Tourist Information Centre, go left onto Princes Street towards the west end and turn left into Lothian Road, Take the next right by the Caledonian Hotel follow the road around, on the corner on the right hand side is the Rutland Hotel.

    Getting there by railway:- From Waverley Station turn right in the direction of Princes Street and then left into Princes Street towards the west end. By the church, turn left into the Lothian Road, Take the next right by the Caledonian Hotel follow the road around, on the corner on the right hand side is the Rutland Hotel.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh International Airport, take the A8 east and follow the signs for Edinburgh city centre. On approaching Princes Street turn right at the traffic lights on to Lothian Road, then take the first turning on the right, directly in front of the Caledonian Hilton, The Rutland hotel is on the corner on the right hand side, past the taxi rank.

    Getting there by ferry:- From Stranraer follow A77 to Glasgow and join M77, then M8 through centre of Glasgow and continue on M8 to Edinburgh. At junction 1 of M8 take A71 into Edinburgh city centre and Dalry Road. On reaching Haymarket follow signs for the west end of Princes Street and then turn right into Lothian Road, Take next right in front of Caledonain Hotel, follow road around, past corner on right hand side is Rutland Hotel.
