1. Depart Edinburgh (8:30 AM)

2. Melrose Abbey (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
Explore the romantic ruins of this 12th-century abbey, final resting place of Robert the Bruce's heart. Admire its Gothic architecture and intricate stone carvings.
3. Abbotsford House (11:15 AM – 12:30 PM)
Visit the home of Sir Walter Scott, Scotland's great novelist and poet. Tour the house, gardens, and library that inspired generations of storytellers.
4. Lunch in Kelso (12:45 PM – 1:45 PM)
Enjoy lunch in the charming market town of Kelso. Choose from cozy cafés or traditional pubs near the town square and Kelso Abbey ruins.
5. Dryburgh Abbey (2:00 PM – 2:45 PM)
Wander the peaceful grounds of this riverside abbey, where Sir Walter Scott is buried. A tranquil contrast to Melrose, steeped in reflection and beauty.
6. Scott's View (3:00 PM – 3:30 PM)
Pause at this scenic overlook, said to be Sir Walter Scott's favourite view. Gaze across the Tweed Valley and Eildon Hills—pure Borders poetry.
7. Return to Edinburgh (3:30 PM – 5:00 PM)
Enjoy a relaxed drive back with stories of reivers, monks, and poets echoing through the hills.
