If the mouth-watering menu at Absurd Bird doesn’t tempt you, then the funky neon interiors and cool vibes certainly will! Try the moonshine cocktail with some of the city’s best fried chicken, mac and cheese, or sample some of the great vegan options.

For a sumptuous seasonal à la carte menu filled with fresh ingredients, look no further than The Botany where you can dine inside a glass house overlooking a beautiful garden. Sip on botanical cocktails and try dishes packed with green goodness.
Royal Exchange Square, City Centre
Pronounced Glas-a-hoo (that's the Gaelic for Glasgow!) this restaurant has the city at its heart. The Market Menu has a lovely selection of local fayre for great prices. Or, try the à la carte options or tuck into a hearty Sunday Roast.
4. Hillhead Bookclub
Vinicombe Street, West End
Housed in an old cinema, this hipster haunt is known for its honest food, brunch and vegan delights! Menu highlights include the roasted cod, Korean fried cauliflower and famous vegan doner kebab. This is also a perfect cocktail spot and there’s never a dull moment with a ping pong table and retro video gaming corner.
5. Julie's Kopitiam
Try some Malaysian street food, with a selection of small dishes packed with flavours. The chef, Julie, was taught the art of this style of cuisine by her mother and brings authentic Malay flavours to the Shawlands area of Glasgow and also straight to your home with takeaway (Tapao) menu for Glasgow locals.
Argyle Street, City Centre
Head to Scotland’s largest bar and restaurant and prepare to fill up on yummy feasts from the range of independent street food trucks who park up here, right underneath Glasgow Central Station. Eat in the Food Hall before visiting the microbrewery for a few pints.

7. Pink !nc Café
Kilmarnock Road, Shawlands
It’s impossible to not enjoy life while spending time inside the Pink Inc Café, a cute little haven for a cake and a cuppa on Kilmarnock Road. As the name suggests, expect a lot of pink! The afternoon tea is pretty fabulous so be sure to book in advance to get your spot in this eatery. It will be the envy of your Insta followers.
West Nile Street, City Centre
In the city centre, find a blast of delicious flavours in this restaurant, named after Korea’s ultimate comfort food, Bibimbap. Order a variety of small authentic Korean dishes, with noodles, baps and wok fried delights on the menu. Don’t miss the chance to order a Kimchi Bloody Mary!
9. Hanoi Bike Shop
Ruthven Lane, West End
The magazine Wanderlust named this spot one of the ‘15 coolest places to eat around the world’ in 2019, so it’s worth checking out! The Vietnamese canteen is known for its sharing dishes which are packed with flavour and creativity. The wee restaurant has outside balcony and tables for al fresco dining.
