New Hidden Gem walks which were regularly walked by your guide Megan, whilst we were all in lockdown this year.
Join Megan for a walk on her local patch, where she can take you off the beaten track and show you some fabulous wildlife and scenery right on her doorstep! The new Hidden Gem walks were all discovered on her local patch during lockdown. There are a few different walks to choose from and some are only accessible at certain times of the year due to the tides and breeding birds.
Short walks are approx 2-3 hours in length, and the terrain can be rough underfoot.
Available walks – A Peedie Island Adventure (tidal), Houton Bay & Head, Orphir Bay
It is possible to use the local bus service for these walks. Please mention this at the time of booking for more information.

Wild Orkney Walks offers guided walks all year round. The walks cover a variety of habitats, from busy seabird cliffs and stunning coastline, to colourful wildflower meadows and white sandy beaches. Whether you would like to see Hen Harriers, Primula Scotica, our charismatic Puffins, or even some of our winter specialities like the Mountain Hares or Long Tailed Ducks, there will be a walk to suit you. Due to Covid-19 our max group size is now 6 and is restricted to one household/family group/social bubble. We are currently unable to offer our service of Wildlife Guiding.
