Self Rescue Course For Climbers
Self Rescue Course For Climbers
The one-day self-rescue course based in the Cairngorms near Aviemore for climbing is designed to equip climbers with essential skills to deal with emergency situations that may arise while climbing.
The one-day self-rescue course for climbing will begin with a theoretical session covering anchor building, rope management, knot tying, and hauling techniques. Participants will then move to the practical session, where they will learn how to use equipment to solve different rescue scenarios. The course will be led by experienced climbing instructors, who will provide expert guidance and support throughout the program. Participants will learn how to extricate themselves or their partners from tricky situations such as being stuck on a rope or a ledge. They will also learn how to improvise with gear they may have with them and how to effectively communicate with their climbing partner.
The day will conclude with a debriefing session where participants can ask questions and consolidate their learning. By the end of the day, participants will have gained valuable skills and confidence in handling emergency situations while climbing, making it an essential investment for anyone looking to stay safe while pursuing their passion for climbing.
We pride ourselves on providing as much kit as possible for you. However, the list below is what we recommend you should bring to your Learn To Lead Multi Pitch Climbing Course:
