Stromness Saunters 1 - The Harbour
The town of Stromness is a wonderful place to see a huge variety of wildlife, and through our Stromness Saunters, we hope to show some of it to you
The town of Stromness is a wonderful place to see a huge variety of wildlife, and through our Stromness Saunters, we hope to show some of it to you. The first of our saunters will take us around the harbour out to Copland’s dock, and perhaps a bit beyond if time permits. We will see waders and ducks along the shoreline, birds taking shelter in the harbour and lots of wildflowers.

The walk is on a mixture of pavements and paths and would be suitable for all abilities. Ideal if you are in only in Stromness for a day or visiting Orkney on a cruise ship.
It is also possible to do this as an Evening walk.
