Deanston Distillery

Whisky Distillery Luxury Tour - Highlands & The Trossachs Double

Your Private Distillery Chauffeur Tour takes in two of our famous Whisky Distilleries, with a Door to Door service using a luxury vehicle & local chauffeur with years of Scottish experience. Remember its Your Day, Your Way tailored to your needs

Your Private Distillery Tour starts from any location in Edinburgh, ensuring a great start your chauffeur will do a full introduction and point out all the on-board facilities in the vehicle. Once the formalities are out of the way they will run through the itinerary for the day and ensure all the passengers are comfortable and answer any questions before departing.

Your first stop is at the World-Famous UNESCO-listed Forth Bridge, we stop in South Queens Ferry and allow you time to experience the awesome sight of the Forth Bridge. Once Photos are complete we then set off for the crossing of the Forth over the road Bridge

We make our way to your first Distillery, Edradour Distillery in Pitlochry or the Blair Athol Distillery. There are various tours available from the standard tour to full private tours, we suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment

Once your first distillery visit is completed you will make your way into the Trossachs, driving by Loch Earn and Loch Lubnaig. While enroute you are able to stop and take advantage of the stunning views, with plenty of photo opportunities. If you have selected to purchase one of our Scottish Picnic Hampers we will stop at one of the Lochs for you to enjoy lunch with a view

Next stop is the town of Callander which serves as the eastern gateway to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and is regarded as the "Gateway to the Highlands". Spend time walking around the town visiting the small shops and sampling local produce, if you did not book a Scottish Picnic there are plenty of places to have lunch from Tea Rooms to Local Inns there is something for all

On Leaving Callander you make your way to the second distillery of the tour at Deanston, enroute we will stop at Doune Castle made famous through the recent Outlander TV Series for some photos. Deanston Distillery is on the banks of the River Teith and started life back in 1785 as a cotton mill until 1966 where it transformed into today's distillery, the only distillery in Scotland to be self-sufficient in electricity with its power coming from the River Teith. Tours are run hourly, if you wanted to experience the Heritage Tour then advance booking is required

The final journey of the excursion is the drive back to Edinburgh, enroute you will see the National Wallace Monument and as we drive round Stirling you will see the famous Castle dominating the skyline. As we leave Stirling you will drive by The Kelpies located next to the Forth and Clyde Canal and are part of the Helix Project

Your excursion finishes with all passengers being taken back to their Edinburgh location, the Door to Door experience helps you enjoy the day without the worry of having too many drams or finding your way back at the end of the excursion.
