FAQs about regional flights

How far in advance should I book flights within Scotland?

Book regional flights as early as possible, particularly during busy periods or when travelling between islands on a smaller aircraft. Booking ahead can also make it easier to plan onward travel.

How much luggage can I take on a regional flight?

Baggage allowances vary between regional services and are often lower than on other flights. Check your booking confirmation and the airline’s website for the latest limits before you travel.

Are regional flights accessible?

Yes. If you have accessibility requirements, notify your airline at the time of booking so they can arrange the support you need.

Can bad weather affect my flight?

Regional and island flights can be affected by changing weather conditions. Check the latest updates with your airline and allow extra time before flights and ferry connections.
