2. Woodlands, forests and forest bathing, across Scotland
Walking and wellness go hand in hand, especially when it’s a walk in the Scottish countryside. There’s something special about being in a forest – studies have shown that breathing in the organic compounds trees emit can help boost your immune system. Why not plan a mindful walk in a serene Scottish forest or woodland surrounded by towering Caledonian pinewoods and crunchy leaves underfoot? Slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
While you're here, immerse yourself in the art of forest bathing, an ancient Japanese process of relaxation, also known as 'shinrin yoku', where you soak in the nature around you while practicing mindful breathing techniques.
