Getting to Inverness
Bus & car
There are good bus and coach links to Inverness from all over the UK with a variety of providers.
For UK connections visit Megabus, National Express or Stagecoach.
For a connection in Scotland from places including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen check out Citylink.
Train
Visit the ScotRail website for ticket information and timetables if you are travelling within Scotland by train.
From elsewhere in the UK you can travel directly to Inverness from dozens of stations across the East Coast Mainline with LNER.
You could also travel overnight in great style from London to Inverness on the Caledonian Sleeper.
Voiture
If travelling by road from the south, the A9 is the main route, connecting the city with Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and many other towns.

Avion
You can fly to Inverness Airport from a number of destinations across the UK and Europe. The airport is located 7 miles east of Inverness.
Local transport connections into the city are available. These include bus and taxis services. Local and national car hire is also available from companies such as Avis which offers car hire directly from Inverness Airport.
Getting around Inverness
