This four-day walking expedition through Knoydart will take us into one of the most remote parts of Scotland with a chance to go to the most remote pub on mainland Britain! We will take in some of the surrounding mountains from our camp at Inverie.
Day 1 Kinloch Hourn - Barrisdale Bay
Starting at Kinloch Hourn, we wind our way along the shores of the majestic Loch Huron towards the sands in Barrisdale Bay where our first camp awaits.
Day 2 Barrisdale Bay - Inverie
Today we have the option to head up and along the Aonach Sgoilte ridge, with the option, if people are feeling fit to take in the Munro of Ladar Bheinn. We usually head on towards Inverie where we can get food and a cold drink at the restaurant if needed.
Day 3 Inverie - Barrisdale Bay
After a great night, we get packed up and head towards Gleann Meadal, where we have the option to head up and over the Munro of Meall Buidhe covering some very dramatic terrain with stunning views over the remoteness of the Knoydart area, back down towards Barrisdale camp.
Day 4 Barrisdale Bay- Kinloch Hourn
After a great three days so far it's time to pack up and start heading out, we usually head back out the way we came in as it's a welcome break of heading along with not too much height gain!
