Golf - The Northern Gems
Scotland has a wide variety of golf on offer and many of the great courses are located in the less well known North of the country. These include courses such as Royal Dornoch, Gleneagles and the relatively new Castle Stuart course near Inverness.
Famed for being remote and beautiful, the North of Scotland is one of the finest places on earth to play golf. The region offers you tranquillity, solitude and outstanding natural beauty whether you are playing on a links course or an inland course many of which have been designed by some of the greatest names in golf course design such as James Braid and Old Tom Morris.
The itinerary set out below is just a sample of what can be arranged to suit your golfing taste and ambitions:
Day 1 - Travel to Gleneagles Hotel and play the 9 hole Wee Course. Overnight at Gleneagles Hotel.
Day 2 - Play the PGA Centenary Course and either the Kings or Queens course. Overnight at Gleneagles Hotel.
Day 3 - Play one of the three Gleneagles courses then travel North to Glenmorangie House.
Day 4 - Play Royal Dornoch and Struie courses. Overnight at Glenmorangie House.
Day 5 - Travel to Nairn and play the Championship course and Cameron 9 hole course then on to Culloden House Hotel.
Day 6 - Play the Castle Stuart course. Overnight at Culloden House Hotel.
Day 7 - Travel South to Mar Hall near Glasgow and play the Earl of Mar Championship course. Overnight at Mar Hall Hotel.
