Coast and Castles Cycling Holiday

Cycle into Scotland along the stunning eastern coast, cutting inland at Berwick-upon-Tweed to explore the sweeping roads of Midlothian and the Moorfoot Hills enroute to Edinburgh.

Cycling holidays with Contours are self-guided, so you’re free to explore at your own pace. We offer a range of itineraries to choose from, with flexible start dates. Build your cycling group from friends and family, or opt to ride solo along this beautifully remote route.

Daily luggage transfers are included, along with 24/7 emergency support, breakfast each morning, and all the maps and guidebooks you'll need to find your way.

We offer cycling holidays along the southern section of the Coast and Castles trail.

The route comprises a stunning, bustling seaside ride along the Scottish-English coastline, enjoying the Northumberland Coast AONB before it crosses into Scotland at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Here, the trail swings west along the Scottish Borders, passing towers and castles and visiting Melrose and Innerleithen before it sweeps north through the Moorfoot Hills toward its conclusion in Edinburgh.

Itineraries range from 3 to 5 days in the saddle, so you can pick out the right daily mileages to match your pace.

Looking to explore somewhere in particular? Add in extra nights at your favourite spots to enjoy rest days or see the sights.
