Scottish Coast to Coast Cycling Holidays

Cross Scotland from Annan to Edinburgh by bicycle, pedalling through the Borders, Southern Uplands and the Moorfoot Hills between relaxing overnight stops at rural towns and villages.

Grab your road bike and however many friends and family you want to wrangle: our self-guided cycling holidays are flexible, with multiple itineraries to choose from.

Contours Holidays provide daily luggage transfers, 24/7 emergency support, breakfast each morning, and all the maps and directions you'll need to be your own guide.

We offer one version of the Scottish Coast to Coast, with three itineraries to choose from:

The Full Scottish Coast to Coast

Winding through the Scottish Borders and Midlothian, the Scottish Coast to Coast covers 130 miles between Annan and Edinburgh. This easy-to-follow route is full of huge vistas and remote country lanes, with welcoming towns to drop into for a meal and a sound overnight sleep. There are optional gravel-road detours for those who are interested, but the main route is entirely on tarmac.

Our itineraries are flexible. You can always add extra nights at stops of your choosing to build in some rest days and explore each place in full.
