Though the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh looks beautiful all year round, this winter the much-loved garden is set to receive an added splash of colour with its brand new son et lumière show, Night in the Garden. A first of its kind for the RBGE, the event sees the Garden open its gates after hours, creating an enchanting landscape of glittering lights and gorgeous sounds to brighten up the winter nights.
The show has been designed by light artists Malcolm Innes and Euan Winton, who use the grounds and buildings as a canvas for their dazzling installations. Amongst the features highlighted along the 1 km route are the Victorian Palm House, lit up in glorious shades of colour, and Inverleith House, which will host a twinkling chandelier made from recycled water bottles.
