- Day tour to Balmoral Castle leaving from Inverness, for between 1 - 3 people. You will travel through some stunning Highland scenery in the Cairngorm National Park. Balmoral is the Highland retreat of the British Royal Family since it was purchased by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1848. You can visit the gardens, exhibitions, grounds and the ballroom. We also visit the charming town of Ballater with its informative Station museum, and the replica railway carriage of the one used by Queen Victoria. Unfortunately, Crathie Kirk is closed to the public this season. Royal Lochnagar distillery is nearby and we can also visit here. Tour price is £280. Entry to Castle is £18.50 p/p and require to be pre booked. Tour price of £280 is for 1 - 3,people. NOT per person. Payment is made at end of tour. This is a very popular tour and a great day out.
