Edinburgh Highlights Half Day Tour

This tour is popular with visitors who have upto 4 hours to spare and wish to visit all of the major landmarks of Edinburgh's Old and New Towns. Your driver/guide provides a running commentary and makes frequent stops at the various landmarks.

In partnership with the National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland we have been certified that “We’re Good To Go.”

This certification recognises that we are following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring that processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing. 

As the guidelines will gradually change over the coming weeks and months, we will advise our clients at the time of:

  • The appropriate social distancing measures
  • The provision & use of hand sanitisers
  • Use of face masks (where appropriate & recommended)
  • Thorough cleaning & sanitising protocols after evert tour

This is a 4 hour tour in a luxury VIP Mercedes seating 7 passengers. The tour will include all of the main sights and historical attractions of the City of Edinburgh. This tour is popular with visitors who have 4 hours to spare and wish to take the tour at a leisurely pace. Your experienced driver/guide will provide an engaging and interesting commentary and a history of the various locations en route and will stop at many of the locations for photo opportunities and a more in-depth explanation at each of them. There will be some walking but only of a minimal and moderate nature.

As well as touring around the Old Town which will take in Edinburgh Castle, Greyfriars Graveyard, the Grassmarket, the Royal Mile, St. Giles Cathedral, John Knox House, the Palace of Holyrood House, the Scottish Parliament, the National Museum of Scotland, we will also travel into the New Town part of the city centre. To benefit from some of the most breathtaking 360 degree views of the city and beyond, your tour will take you around Arthur's Seat, a long extinct volcano which overlooks the city.

For those with the energy, there will also be an opportunity to walk to the top of Calton Hill for views over the Old and New Town side by side. If time permits and passengers would like to view any other parts of the city, your driver will be happy to accommodate any requests.
