Culloden House Hotel

Inverness, Culloden, Cawdor, Beauly, Loch Ness

Half day tour, taking in the sights around the city of Inverness, Culloden Battlefield and Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness.

This tour takes in the best of Inverness and the local area. Explore the historic sights of the city of Inverness, including Inverness Castle, St. Andrew’s Cathedral, the River Ness & Ness Islands.

Leaving Inverness, we will take you on a scenic tour of the surrounding area beginning with a trip along the River Ness and Caledonian Canal to the iconic Loch Ness. Here you will have the opportunity to explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle and the accompanying visitor centre. From here we head through Glen Convith to the picturesque village of Beauly, where you can walk around Beauly Priory, thought to have been built in 1230.

Beauly has some lovely cafes for a refreshment stop before we head back towards Inverness via part of the South shore of the Black Isle over the Kessock Bridge to Cawdor to visit Cawdor Castle and grounds. Driving back towards Inverness, we visit the historic Culloden Battlefield, where you have the option to explore the visitor centre and battlefield itself. The final stop of the day is a visit to the Clava Cairns, a Bronze Age burial site on the outskirts of Inverness.

All of our tours can be tailored to suit your interests and travel plans.

Entrance to Culloden Battlefield, Urquhart Castle and other attractions are not included in the tour price, however, we can arrange tickets on your behalf.

We have a variety of vehicles to accommodate individual guests to small groups.
