Old Town Freedom Tour

Freedom Tours are tours delivered direct to your smartphone. These tours give you freedom to start when you want and stop when you want. One group ticket, currently £20 entitles up to four people to take the tour using one device.

My Freedom Tours are self guided city tours giving you freedom to explore the way you want. Freedom Tours are tours delivered direct to your smartphone. They are presented by local actors, born and bred in the city they love. Filmed especially for the tour, their videos will inform and entertain you. These tours have a number of advantages over traditional guided tours.

  • Great value - one ticket for a group of up to four people
  • Start whenever you want - tour tickets are valid for 12 months
  • Stop when you want - visit a shop, have a coffee or simply to take in the view
  • Choose the themes and topics that most interest you
  • See how much you remembered with our fun built in quizzes
  • Bad weather option to complete the tour from a cafe or bar
  • Subtitles available in several languages.

The Escape Key Limited

The Escape Key has designed and launched Freedom Tours which are Self-Guided Tours using geolocation via a smartphone App. The unique aspect is that the tour is delivered through videos of real local actors describing the sights and history of the cities they love. Freedom is the word - our users can start and finish wherever and whenever they like. They can take a break for a coffee or a meal or to visit a shop - and they can take shelter if it starts to rain. Our first Freedom Tour is of Edinburgh Old Town but we have plans for many more.
