Outlander Tour Jamie’s print shop

Visiting Bakehouse close Tweeddale court Signet library Craigmillar castle Hopetoun house Midhope house

Once our driver has collected you from your accommodation..

We start this tour at Bakehouse Close just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh In series three of Outlander. This is where the filming of the external scenes of Jamie’s Printshop took place.

Next is Tweeddale Court, this Outlander location was used as an 18th century Edinburgh street. We then travel up the Royal Mile to the Signet Library. This location was used for the governers’ mansion in Jamaica.

We then head out of the City to Craigmillar Castle which dates back to the 14th century and doubled as Ardsmuir Prison where Jamie was imprisoned in season three.

Our next destination is Hopetoun House set in the beautiful setting of South Queensferry. Hopetoun House was used as The Duke of Sandringhams’ home and for other various scenes throughout the show.

Next but not means least is Jamies’ ancestral home of Lallybroch which is actually Midhope House. This is where his sister Jenny and her family Live.

The Amazing city of Edinburgh is packed with history dating back to the 11th century. What better way to see the historical sites other than the traditional methods, than inside one of Edinburgh’s fully air conditioned Black Taxis. Our drivers go through an extensive training schedule to receive their “Brief” which is only awarded after they have successfully passed a comprehensive Edinburgh Knowledge exam. The drivers are local Scotsmen who have grown up and live in the great city of Edinburgh We have over 30 years experience of taking locals and tourists from all over the world
