Private Day Tours from Edinburgh – Outlander, Castles & Loch Lomond

Private day tours from Edinburgh with a local driver-guide in a Mercedes vehicle. Visit Outlander filming locations, castles, and scenic stops at your own pace.

Edinburgh is an excellent base for private touring across the Central Belt and southern Highlands. We run fully private day tours with a local driver-guide and Mercedes vehicle, with pickup from your hotel, apartment, or airport.

One of the most requested routes is our Outlander-focused day, with stops such as Midhope Castle (Lallybroch exterior), Blackness Castle, Hopetoun House estate area, Linlithgow, and additional filming locations depending on opening times and your pace. We can also include the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel as part of a Central Scotland touring day.

If you prefer a stronger history-and-scenery route, we offer a Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond day from Edinburgh, combining major Scottish history with lochside viewpoints and village stops. This is a strong option for guests who want a full day out without the longer drive to the far north.

Every tour is private to your group only. No shared coaches, no fixed large-group timetable, and no rushed stop pattern. We plan realistic timings in advance and adjust on the day for weather, traffic, and your preferences.

Popular Edinburgh private day tour themes:

  • Outlander filming locations (Midhope, Blackness, Hopetoun area, Linlithgow, Falkland on request)
  • Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond
  • Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel with castle stops
  • Custom combinations based on interests, mobility, and available time

If you share your date and priorities, we will confirm the best route and timings for your day.
