Outlander

The Outlander Inspiration Tour

Time travelling, Jacobite fates and walking in Claire's footsteps!

Tour Description;

Starting our Outlander literary tour, we head straight to the 4000yr old Clava Cairns, thought to have been Diana Gabaldon's inspiration for Craigh na Dun then on to Culloden Battlefield where we'll stand on the ground where the Jacobites fought and fell and we'll walk in Claire's footsteps to visit the Fraser memorial stone.

We'll travel on to Inverness to walk along the banks of the River Ness as Roger and Brianna did before strolling through some of the more historic streets that witnessed the Jacobite rebellion. Loch Ness & Urquhart Castle await, where Claire and Frank visited on their second honeymoon. After Urquhart Castle, we rise above the loch to amazing views and on to the ruins of Beauly Priory, where Claire met Maisri the seer, before we conclude the tour at our drop off point.

A locally sourced packed lunch which showcases some of our beautiful Highland ingredients is provided as part of your tour. Dietary restrictions catered for.
