Wild Shetland Tours - bespoke bird, wildlife and sightseeing tours

Wild Shetland Tours offer bespoke tours centred on birds, wildlife, general sightseeing or a combination of everything. From individuals to larger groups, holidaymakers to cruise ship visitors, we can help you make the most of your time in Shetland

Wildlife. Scenery. History. Archaeology. And more besides. There is much to see and do in Shetland.

Perhaps you have a wish list of certain birds or other wildlife you are keen to see. Maybe your time on the islands is short, and you want to maximise your chances of that special encounter or experience.

Whether you have already booked your trip to the islands and would like a day or two with a guide to help you find those hidden gems, or are visiting with a cruise ship, or are still merely at the planning stage, then a bespoke day trip could be for you.

Bespoke trips are very popular, and rightly so. It's your holiday, your day, so why not decide what you want to see and where you want to go? We can plan your trip together, using a combination of your needs and our knowledge and experience. You get to set the pace and tone, and we’ll advise you on getting the best from your day. We are entirely flexible – it’s your day, and we want to help you make it as comfortable, enjoyable and productive as possible. We have a selection of sample tours which may give you ideas for your day.

Prices for bespoke trips vary, depending on your chosen itinerary, distances travelled, length of time, number of guests and so on. Our prices are very competitive, and we will give you an indication of cost at the initial point of contact. We aim to make these trips good value for money, and as such all trips include the following:

Pick up and drop off from your chosen point

All transport during the day

All additional fees required on the day (ferry fees, entrance fees etc)

Use of binoculars and telescope (spare binoculars can be provided on request)

Meals are not included, but packed lunches can be arranged on request

If you’re interested in multiple days or a longer visit, but would rather leave all the hassle of organising transport, hotels, meals, etc. to someone else, feel free to contact us to discuss.

Bespoke tours can be arranged for up to eight guests. Larger groups, however, can sometimes be catered for.

Interested? Just get in touch and we'll start arranging your very own wildlife or sightseeing tour.
