Etive Boat Trips

Welcome to the West coast and to Etive Boat Trips. Join us on our 10 meter Blyth Catamaran "The Etive Explorer" for an unforgettable excursion in the Firth of Lorn or Loch Etive where you will sample the stunning West coast scenery and wildlife.

The West coast of Scotland is home to some amazing wildlife both above and below the waves, join us on one of our many sea tours offering sightseeing, fishing or dive trips in and around the Firth of Lorn as well as trips through the spectacular Falls of Lora and into the stunning sea loch, Loch Etive. Our trips depart from Dunstaffnage Marina located around 2 miles from Oban on the A85 which offers ample free parking. We are also able to offer alternative departure points, this can be arranged on request.

We have a wide selection of day trips ranging from 2 hours to the full day, full details and prices can be found on our website: https://etiveboattrips.co.uk

Sailing on our 10 meter Blyth Catamaran the Etive Explorer, you can enjoy a relaxing cruise through the spectacular falls of Lora, in to Loch Etive, one of Scotland’s longest sea lochs with stunning views of the Scottish Highlands, coastline and Ben Cruachan, or perhaps try another of our popular options including circumnavigating the small island of Kerrera (the island opposite Oban Bay), Lismore or the Creag Islands.

New for the 2023 season, we are introducing a selection of fishing trips to our amazing line up of excursions. Whether you are a novice or experienced fisherman, our skipper Kyle will be on hand to help and guide you. The West Coast of Scotland is renowned for its sea life below the water offering amazing fishing opportunities including skate, thornback rays, spurdog, conger, pollock, wrasse, mackerel, luing to name but a few, although we can’t guarantee what you’ll catch, we can guarantee a great experience and our famous West coast hospitality. No equipment, no problem, we’ve got you covered with a wide selection of fishing equipment and tackle available.

The Firth of Lorn and Loch Etive are also home to a wide and varying selection of wildlife, some of which you will hopefully see on our tours, including: white tailed sea eagles, golden eagles, osprey, guillemots, common seals or the elusive otters and if you are really lucky you may even spot a pod of dolphins or porpoise.

We are happy to consider any private charters for fishing, diving, sightseeing, wildlife photography or just a relaxing cruise to enjoy the stunning scenery of the West coast or Oban bay's incredible sunsets.

The West cost of Scotland truly is stunning and even more so from the sea, where every trip is spectacular! One thing is guaranteed and we are sure you will agree after you sail with us on board the Etive Explorer, quite simply “The West is best”.
