This six-hour experience is carefully planned to offer an unhurried, high-quality journey through the whisky, landscapes and character of the Scottish Highlands, while ensuring a smooth and timely return to your ship.

Hosted with genuine local knowledge, whisky expertise and long-established relationships across the region, this is not a standard coach excursion. It is a personal, thoughtfully curated experience offering a deeper connection to the distilleries, people and places that make Highland whisky so special.

Your itinerary is shaped around your interests, your cruise schedule and the practicalities of the day. Depending on availability and your preferences, visits may include renowned Highland distilleries such as Glenmorangie, Balblair and Glen Ord, together with specialist whisky retailers including Carnegie Whisky Cellars and the Thompson Brothers shop in Dornoch.

The emphasis is always on quality rather than quantity, allowing time to enjoy each experience properly rather than rushing from one stop to the next.

Throughout the day, you may also enjoy a hosted whisky tasting selected from our personal collection, featuring rare, limited or distinctive bottlings chosen to complement the journey. Where desired, we can also include a relaxed lunch at one of the Highlands’ excellent local restaurants, giving you time to enjoy both the food and the setting.

Travel is provided in a comfortable SUV for up to four guests or a comfortable premium minibus for up to eight guests, ensuring privacy, comfort and a relaxed pace throughout the day. Larger private groups may also be accommodated by prior arrangement.

Suitable distillery visits, tastings and other agreed experiences are selected and arranged ahead of your arrival, allowing you to step ashore and simply enjoy a carefully structured day without having to manage the individual arrangements yourself.

Whichever option you choose, the standard of hosting, care and personal attention remains the same.

Designed Around Your Ship

This experience is designed specifically for cruise passengers.

Pickup and drop-off are arranged at Invergordon cruise port, and the day is carefully planned around your ship’s arrival and departure times. Appropriate return-time margins are built into the itinerary so that you can enjoy your time ashore without feeling rushed.
