On the night of 27 January 1974, MV Captayannis was afloat for the last time.
The now-called Sugarboat will have been laying submerged on her side for 50 years.
Join us as we visit the Sugarboat on the anniversary of her sinking and learn about the history of the Clyde's most famous shipwreck.
Come and book your trips and meet us at James Watt Dock Marina, the very marina MV Captayannis was waiting to enter the night she never sailed again.

Clyde Charters have been operating successfully over the last 8 years providing special day trips for customers to enjoy the hidden gems of the River Clyde and surrounding lochs. Since then, our boat trips to the Sugar Boat in Greenock, day trips to Little Cumbrae, dolphin spotting and various other trips have proven extremely popular and allow our passengers to explore local history in a way that is entirely unique. All our boats cater for 12 passengers, offer snacks and drinks and operate to the highest safety standards.
