Westward into Central Scotland we go into the Trossachs National Park an area otherwise known as Rob Roy Country (our other national hero). We pass through some stunning scenery and you'll have opportunity to visit a fine little distillery in the highland town of Crieff. However if the Distillery does not tickle your taste buds then we substitute that with one of many alternatives including a visit to Doune Castle, a magnificent Courtyard Castle (scene of Monty Python & Holy Grail and more recently used for the filming of OUTLANDER the US TV series). The main attraction however is the heart of the trossachs area and a visit to the stunning scenery of Loch Katrine/ Lake of Menteith where you have an opportunity for lunch and perhaps a 1hr cruise on the Loch or perhaps a walk or cycle ride around part of the Loch. We also visit the highland towns of Aberfoyle and Callander stopping for a short while to absorb the ambience of the area and perhaps feed the heilan coos! A great day fun day out for whole the family!
