Vous êtes à la recherche d’une expérience qui sort de l’ordinaire ? Installez-vous confortablement dans notre affût chauffé situé sur le domaine de Rothiemurchus, au coeur du Parc National des Cairngorms, et observez la faune nocturne attirée par nos appâts. Rendez-vous avec notre guide, juste avant le crépuscule, sur notre site proche d’Aviemore, dans la forêt calédonienne, avant de rejoindre notre affût à pied par un bon chemin sablonneux.

Une fois sur place, le guide vous expliquera la vie et les moeurs des martres et des blaireaux, nos visiteurs les plus assidus. Tout cela pendant que vous vous relaxez en attendant leur apparition. Bien sûr, ce sont là des animaux sauvages qui n’en font qu’à leur tête. Cependant, ayant étudié leurs moeurs nocturnes depuis de nombreuses années, nous pouvons vous assurer avec quasi-certitude qu’ils viendront.

Cerfs et chevreuils s’approchent de l’affût tant qu’il fait encore jour tandis que martres et blaireaux n’apparaissent en général qu’à la nuit tombée. Toutefois, les projecteurs extérieurs permettent de bien voir les animaux par les fenêtres panoramiques.

L’affût a été conçu de façon à offrir une vision optimale à tous les participants sans crainte de perturber les visiteurs nocturnes. De plus, des caméras infrarouges nous préviennent de la présence d’animaux dans la forêt environnante. Les animaux pénètrent dans l’aire d’observation à des heures variables, mais, en principe, cela arrive pendant nos deux ou trois heures de présence dans l’affût.

Les photographes préfèrent réserver l’affût pour leur usage exclusif. Nous les accompagnons dans l’affût et leur expliquons le comportement probable des animaux. Puis nous les laissons seuls, pour qu’ils puissent prendre les photos dont ils ont toujours rêvé. Grâce à l’éclairage extérieur, le flash n’est pas nécessaire et d’ailleurs, il ne doit absolument pas être utilisé car il perturbe les animaux.

La BBC a réalisé des documentaires ici au fil des années, pour le ‘One Show’ et ‘Springwatch’ et les moeurs nocturnes des animaux ont fait la joie des journalistes du monde entier.
