North Highland Way... coastal route

An wonderful walk across the north of Scotland on the North Highland Way, visiting ecclesiastic sites of historic importance.

The walk across the north coast is just amazing. Wildlife, archaeology, sites of ecclesiastical interest. The north coast has everything. The walk is one of two routes for the North Highland Way, which is destined to be a multi use route. Meanwhile, you can enjoy the ecclesiastical sites of interest. This is not an official pilgrimage, but the next best thing, and you can get your passport and get it stamped as a souvenir. St. Brian Arrowsmith was, apparently, in the Highlands as well as Spain, so this project fulfils our ambition to find Spanish links with the Highlands of Scotland.

Friends of the North Highland Way

Enjoy a great day out exploring the north coast of Scotland on foot, mountain bike or on horseback. We can provide a passport to check into the churches along the route and help with great wildlife watching spots. There are in fact two routes, one along the coast and the other over A'Mhoine.

Horaires d'ouverture

This is self guided, so no opening times, but you will need to check the opening times of the various churches as they change constantly.
