The River Tummel is a fun, action packed river located near Pitlochry.
For those who would like more of an individual challenge, putting yourself into a river tube is the activity for you! In your tube, you’re the captain of your vessel and it’s up to your skill (and bravery!) to navigate the river.
Your guides will be with you to give you guidance, help with technique and point you in the right direction but once you start moving it’s all up to you! Paddle the waves, master the surfs, and rock the rapids…. or get thrown out of your tube in fits of laughter and accept that this is all about fun and nonsense. Bring your sense of adventure and humour to the river and let’s go tubing.
The River Tummel is a perfect environment for a white-water river tubing adventure. The Grade 3/4 conditions mean that you’ll experience some great rapids that will provide plenty of thrills as you navigate your tube down the river.
The River Tummel offers a great selection of simple and more challenging rapids. There is also a nice section of calm water after each one so there’s plenty of space and time to recover your tube (and dignity) if you’ve taken a swim on the way down!
