Glencoe

Walking & Trekking Jounreys

Actives’ Scottish hill walking expeditions journey through some of the most beautiful and isolated parts of Scotland. The expeditions are available at two different levels, thereby meeting the needs of a range of different abilities.

Hill Walking Experience & Grade
  • L1 – Participants need to be fit for long hill days, some of which involve the carrying of heavy backpacks.
  • L2 – More gentle walks/rambles which only require a moderate level of fitness.

If you are unsure which Scottish walking journey would best suit do not hesitate to call. Transport, accommodation, camping equipment and guiding are included in the package. Pick ups can be arranged from various points in South/Central Scotland.

Normal Group sizes are a minimum of 4 walkers. Individual and group bookings are welcome.

JOURNEY OUTLINES

Knoydart

Perhaps Scotland’s wildest mountain range, with only one settlement, the remote village of Inverie which can only be accessed by boat or on foot.

Skye Trek

The mountains of Skye are the nearest thing to the European alps Scotland has to offer. This Trek takes us over from Elgol to Uig.

Cairngorms National Park

This fine route circumnavigates the majestic Cairngorms National Park, which contains 4 of Scotland’s 8 peaks over 4,000 feet.

Ben Nevis & Glencoe

Explore these spectacular mountains and learn of the dark history between the Macdonald and Campbell clans. Finish the week on Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.

Scotland East to West

Trek across Scotland and experience its beauty, diversity and history. This route cuts through steep remote glens; stay in tents, bothies & country inns

Inverpolly & the North

We travel to the Far North to discover one of the most pristine wilderness areas of Scotland. These towering Torridonian Sandstone peaks are interspersed with hundreds of glacial lochs.

Fisherfield & Letterewe

Remote, beautiful & wild sum up these mountains. This is a demanding route through truly wild and rugged mountainous country. You really will feel like you’re away from it all on this great trek.
