The cottage sleeps 4 people, in 2 x double bedrooms (there is also a babys travel cot and air bed that can be used if necessary).
Price is £400 per week.
It is surrounded by fields and a view of the sea not far away. It is very easy to get to from the ferries and by air.
Our cottage is detached a little way from our nearest neighbours. On a good day it can be lovely just to sit outside on the lawns which surround the property and enjoy the cows, sheep and wild birds.
Orkney's capital Kirkwall, is a short drive away, where you can visit Earls & Bishops Palaces Kirkwall , St Magnus Cathedral (St Magnus Cathedral tour times ), Orkney Museum, Highland Park Distillery and Scapa Distillery , to name a few of the attractions in town. If the weather isn't too kind, The Pickaquoy Centre offers excellent indoor facilities such as a swimming pool, cinema, various exercise classes and kids entertainment. The heart of Neolithic Orkney is approx 30 min drive from the cottage, heading to the West Mainland where you can visit Skara Brae, Maeshowe, Ring of Brodgar and Standing Stones of Stenness . A further drive of 15 mins will take you to the Brough of Birsay , Broch of Gurness and Earls Palace Birsay.
Take time out from the sites and take a stroll through the cobbled streets of Stromness,visit the Pier Arts Centre , Stromness Museum or Ness Battery . Find out more about Stromness on this link.
