About the holiday let

  Our comfortable self catering accommodation in Edzell is situated directly opposite the Panmure Arms Hotel to the front and the Muir to the left.

The property is double glazed with central heating and has recently been refurbished to a high standard.  All bed linen is Egyptian cotton and included in the price is all linen, towels, electricity and gas.

The accommodation comprises: living room, kitchen, 2 x double bedrooms and bathroom.

The back door leads to small patio area with a shed, seats and a handy whirly.

The shed is a new build, measures 8’ X 6’ and a key is provided.  The shed houses the laundry basket, pegs and drying screen.  There is ample room for kids toys, golf clubs, fishing tackle, wellies etc.   Some pegs have been put up for any wet coats and jackets.

About the village

Edzell is a beautiful village nestled at the foot of some of the most attractive Angus Glens.  It is an ideal location for an active family holiday, a walking or sporting holiday, or indeed for relaxing and watching the world go by.   Edzell is a past winner of Britain in Bloom and boasts the following amenities:

• Panmure Arms Hotel for excellent and reasonably priced meals, drinks, morning coffee

• The Tuck Inn for sit down or carry out fish and chips and ice cream as well as other dishes

• The Glen Esk Hotel for lunch and a refreshing drink or high tea on a Sunday

• 2 other cafes serving home-made soup and baking

• Edzell Golf Club (18 hole, 9 hole and the driving range).  A round of golf followed by a well deserved meal can be booked at the club house

• Chemist, Post Office, award winning butcher, newsagent, Spar, hairdresser, art shop

• The Muir - this is Edzell’s park and comprises play area, football pitch, BMX track, barbeque facilities, toilets

• Garage with petrol/diesel

• Numerous scenic walks to suit all abilities from a gentle stroll along the riverside to the more challenging walks scattered amongst Glen Esk, Glen Lethnot, Glen Dye etc.
