Accommodation and lots more...
Highland Park House is an impressive mansion on the outskirts of Kirkwall. We are within easy reach of the town centre, but we are also bordered by open land with walks through fields offering lovely views of the town and surrounding countryside.. We can offer bed and breakfast with a range of en-suite and standard rooms. The bed and breakfast rooms are tastefully furnished in a period style to match the building. Rooms have features such as Victorian iron beds and original artwork. The house was originally built by the Grant family who owned the nearby Highland Park Distillery and we are ideally placed for visits to that establishment and also the Scapa distillery.
In addition to the facilities that Kirkwall has to offer, we are in easy driving distance of all of Orkney's East and West Mainland. This includes the fabulous Skara Brae, Stenness stones and the Ring of Brodgar. There are many sites for watching birds, seals and other wildlife. Neighbouring islands are accessible via an extensive series of ferries or by air.
We have plenty of safe, free parking in our grounds.
