A four bedroom (genuine eight berth) holiday cottage situated on the banks of Loch Garry in the Highlands.
Tranquility personified; our four bedroom holiday cottage in the heart of the Highlands is perfectly situated for a relaxing holiday. The cottage is a stand alone property in beautiful Glengarry (a five minute drive from the Great Glen at Invergarry) and is sited on the northern shore of Loch Garry itself. It comes with its own pebble beach (ideal for barbecues!!) and is surrounded by stunning mountainous scenery. Although beautifully situated on the secluded and quiet Tomdoun Road (single track road out to Loch Hourn) the villages and towns of Fort Augustus, Fort William and Inverness are only 20 minutes, 30 minutes and 50 minutes away respectively by car. Inverness airport is a comfortable 75 minutes away.
Opportunities for walking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, white water rafting, fishing, birdwatching and generally getting out there in the fresh air abound!...and there's a nine hole golf course 20 minutes away in Fort Augustus! The Isle of Skye is approximately an hour away via the A87 (believed by many to be the most scenically beautiful drive in the UK!), as is the Cairngorms mountain range.Loch Ness is 20 minutes away. So,if you want a quiet secluded location, surrounded by mountains and lochs and nature (eagles, pine martin and deer have all been seen...and that's just through the lounge window!!), but still need to be close to civilisation, then this is the place for you.
Please feel free to give me a call on 07401 882289 and I would be more than happy to discuss the property, surroundings and local activities in finer detail. I can also offer an extensive wealth of local knowledge that I can impart, in order for you to make the most of your visit to this beautiful part of the world.
