Stronavaich offers bright, comfortable rooms and a relaxed atmosphere in the heart of castle and whisky country. Nestling in a secluded location amid stunning Cairngorm scenery we are an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Our rates include full Scottish cooked breakfast, but we also provide a fully equipped guest kitchenette in which those not wanting to be tied down to a fixed time or a full cooked breakfast can prepare their own. Guest are also welcome to use this facility to prepare snacks or evening meals.
The Guest House lies just 2 miles south of Tomintoul (the highest village in the Highlands with its shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants) with The Lecht Ski Area, Cockbridge and the historic Corgaff Castle just a few miles to the south. Being adjacent to the Glenlivet Estate, we have easy access to over 135 miles of waymarked hiking trails, ranging from serene valleys to wild moors, and numerous nordic ski trails, cycle trails for mountain biking or lower level cycling. We have 5.7 acres of grounds that guests are welcome to explore, as well as gardens and patios in which to relax and unwind.
Whatever your interests, abilities or energy levels there is plenty to keep you busy right here on our doorstep, and our aim is to provide a welcoming and friendly base for you to explore this beautiful, unspoilt corner of Scotland.
