Prasgan bring together five of Scotland's most respected traditional musicians. Making their debut at the 2025 Blàs Festival, the band are attracting rave reviews for their live performances. Featuring Allan Henderson (fiddle and piano), Ewen Henderson (fiddle and vocals), Angus Nicholson (pipes and whistle), Andrew MacPherson (percussion and whistle) and Murdo Cameron (guitar) this is a group not to be missed. With years of collective experience in bands like Blazin' Fiddles, the Angus Nicholson Trio, Manran and Daimh, Prasgan are steeped in the Gaelic culture of the West Highlands and Skye and look forward to sharing their music with you.
Dàna are a new and exciting, all-female band based in Glasgow. The band's name, meaning “bold” or “audacious” in Gaelic, perfectly encapsulates their vibrant sound and approach to performance. Comprised of fiddle, clarsach, whistle, and piano, each member of Dàna draws inspiration from their diverse regional backgrounds and dialects. Since emerging, they have quickly established a strong reputation, winning a Danny Kyle Award in Jan 2025. Recent performances include Celtic Connections, The Reeling, Under Canvas and Belladrum. Most recently, the band have been shortlisted as nominees of the Up and Coming Artist of the Year category at the 2025 Trad Awards.
