Scapa bay is found on the southern coastline of Mainland Orkney.
This pretty south-facing sandy beach is framed by cliffs with Scapa Distillery and Scapa Flow Control Centre being prominent features in the landscape.
At the east side of the bay is a pier and nearby is a channel buoy which marks the location of the wreck of HMS Royal Oak.
