3 day tour to mull

This is a PRIVATE BESPOKE 3 day tour. Join us on this wonderful Scottish tour and enjoy a authentic experience on your Journey through the Scotland.

Our first day is all about seeing some of the Highlands most spectacular scenery as we head for Mull.

As we pass through the Highland line, we will find ourselves on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and a chance to take in the breath-taking view.

As we follow this wonderful country road, from the windows of the mini coach you will see the towering mountains of Ben More and Stob Binnein as we pass through the quaint village of Crianlarich and Tyndrum.

Next, we drive through the famous mountain valley of Glencoe. Not only will we stop for many photographs, but we will enjoy lunch in this incredible place.

On this section of the tour you have a chance to experience two ferry crossings as we make our way to Mull. First crossing is the short journey at Corran then traveling on passing through towering mountains to the ferry port of Lochaline. Here we board the second ferry to Mull.

The final part of day one is the journey to Tobermory in the early evening

Day 2

Say goodbye to Tobermory, but don’t worry, you’ll be back in the evening.

Off we go to the ancient spiritual island of Iona. We will give you time to wander and soak in the tangible atmosphere as you stroll on the sandy beaches and explore the abbey.

In the afternoon you will be taking a small boat to the island of Staffa to see the amazing Fingal’s Cave. Depending what time of year you book the tour there is a chance, if you chose early summer, to get up close and personal with the wonderful little bird the puffin.

Once back on Mull, we take you north to Tobermory.

Your chance to experience Iona

Day 3

In the morning, we will be traveling south to Craignure to catch your ferry back to the mainland.

The ferry lands in the wonderful old town of Oban. We will give you time to wander through the town to buy gifts and to enjoy lunch.

After lunching our plan is to take you back in time as we enter Kilmartin Glen. Here we will visit many ancient sites from burial cairns to standing stones.

The ancient town of Inveraray is the last stop on our itinerary. The town itself sits on the banks of beautiful Loch Fyne

Heartland Travel - Tours of Scotland

We provide small group tours (no more than 16 passengers) of the Highlands, Isle of Skye and Loch Ness. Experience authentic Scotland with our small family business. We provide 2 separate scheduled tours - a 3 day tour to the Isle of Skye departing from St. Andrews, Dundee and Stirling, and a 4 day tour to the Isle of Skye and Inverness which departs from Edinburgh. We can also create bespoke tours for anyone who comes with the glimmer of an idea they want to make real. An exhaustive knowledge of Scotland also means that we are able to drop the itinerary for that unexpected magical detour.
