This is a PRIVATE BESPOKE 6 day tour. Join us on this wonderful Scottish tour and enjoy an authentic experience on your Journey through the Scotland.
We will collect you and your party from your chosen location in Edinburgh on the start of your 6 day private Scotland tour. From there, we will head out of the city, heading over the river Forth and starting our journey further north.
First, we will take the opportunity to visit and explore a really interesting part of the Kingdom of Fife Here we will be able to get off the bus, stretch our legs and walk through the rolling countryside and reach the rock formation known locally as the ‘Bunnet Stane’.
Departing from here we will be heading through the city of Perth and visiting the Palace at Scone. This stunning piece of architecture is set amongst immaculately designed gardens and woodland.
After this we will head for lunch at Meikleour Arms Hotel.
The road north from here is quite beautiful, passing through some steep inclines and even passing through one of Scotland’s ski areas at Glenshee.
We will find then be passing through have time here to take a tour and perhaps taste some their fine malt.
Then on to our accommadation in the area.
Day 2
With a gentle start to our day, we will enjoy our time in Speyside and get the most from our time in some of the most attractive local towns. The local distillery in Aberlour will be our first port of call.
Thereafter we will head over to Grantown-On-Spey for a lunch stop.
A short distance onward form here and we will reach Loch an Eilein in the Rothiemurchus Forest where you can see some of the traditional native Scots Pine and enjoy natural beauty.
From here we will head further north, stopping at Rogie Falls on our way to the charming highand village of Plockton. Here we will be accommodated for two nights.
Day 3
With the advantage of our base in Plockton, we can be over the sea and on to the Isle of Skye in a short space of time.
On this dramatically beautiful island, we will get a true perspective of the island’s geography and impressive vistas. There are so many fascinating areas of the island to explore and we will be sure to take in all our favourites. Place such as Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock and The Quirraing.
Day 4
A really special outing for sea farers on tour – we will head to the south of Skye where we will take a cruise on the Bella Jane from the port at Elgol. We will have a birds eye view of the Cuillin Mountains form here and maybe even spot some seals.
We will also have an opportunity to visit and taste some of the Islands very own Talisker malt whisky.
On the return journey we an even stop at the world famous Fairy Pools for a short hike.
Day 5
We are going to venture southwards today and head for Oban.
We have designed a fabulous route to showcase the best of the mountainous and rugged highlands. Not only that, we will be stopping at Eielan Donan Castle – possibly the most iconic image of a Scottish Castle known worldwide.
This journey will lead us along the banks of Loch Ness where we may have the chance of a glimpse of our Nessie!
After a fun filled day we will drop you off at your accomadation in Oban.
Day 6
Leaving Oban, we will be heading through the most southerly of the Scottish Highlands. This journey weaves us nicely through Rob Roy McGregor country, the famous Scottish outlaw and folk hero.
This will be our only other chance to take a whisky tour. We might be biased but we think that the tour at Deanston is just fabulous, as is the taste of this fine single malt.
The two outstanding castles on this route are worth of note – Doune Castle and that of Stirling. We shall stop at Doune Castle for picture and have more time available to spend at Stirling Castle.
This ends you 6 day private Scotland tour.
