Accross the Isle of Skye
The Isle of Skye attracts walkers from around the world with its dramatic scenery, striking geology, and rich history. On this self-guided walking holiday along the highlights of the Skye Trail, experience the magic of the “misty isle” for yourself.
The Isle of Skye has a habit of lodging itself firmly in walkers’ hearts, and it’s easy to see why. On this self-guided walking holiday along the highlights of the Skye Trail, you’ll experience the island at its most raw and rewarding, from quiet southern shores to its lively northern capital.
Your journey begins on the remote Sleat Peninsula, where coastal paths and big skies set the tone. Walking north towards Broadford, you’ll follow rugged stretches of shoreline on wonderfully quiet trails, with the chance to spot sea eagles riding the thermals overhead.
One of the true highlights awaits at Loch Coruisk - arguably Skye’s wildest corner - where dark, dramatic mountains plunge into still waters. A superb day walk beneath the jagged peaks of the Cuillin Ridge leads you to Sligachan, steeped in mountaineering lore and Highland history.
