Forth Bridges
Enjoy a scenic stop overlooking the Firth of Forth and its three remarkable bridges: the Forth Bridge, Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing.
The iconic red Forth Bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Scotland’s most recognisable landmarks. Opened in 1890, its distinctive cantilever design remains an outstanding example of Victorian engineering.
Beside it stands the Forth Road Bridge, a suspension bridge opened in 1964 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. At more than 2.5 kilometres long, it was once one of the longest suspension bridges in the world.
The newest bridge, the Queensferry Crossing, opened in 2017. Its elegant cable-stayed design completes this spectacular trio and provides a striking contrast between historic and modern engineering.
Stirling Castle
Stirling Castle is one of Scotland’s most important and impressive historic landmarks. Standing high above the city of Stirling, the castle has played a major role in Scottish history for centuries as both a royal residence and military stronghold.
Visitors can explore the magnificent Great Hall, Royal Palace, Chapel Royal and defensive walls, while enjoying panoramic views across central Scotland. The castle was also closely connected with Mary Queen of Scots, who was crowned here in 1543.
Stirling Castle is a must-see destination for anyone interested in Scottish royalty, history and architecture.
