Cromarty sits at the very end of the Black Isle and there is so much to discover here. Our walk will introduce you to the birthplace of the world renowned geologist Hugh Miller. Discover museums, art, churches, old buildings & pirates.
Begin your walking tour of Cromarty, a historic town on the northern point of the Black Isle. Stroll through the vennels of the old Fishertown and admire the large houses and buildings constructed during the Georgian period.
Walk up the cobbled path that was once the original road into Cromarty and admire the picturesque remains of the Gaelic chapel. Back down in the town, discover the beautiful East Church, the West Church, and St. Regulus Episcopal Church.
Learn about Cromarty’s trading boom and its economic prosperity before improvements in other towns on the firth led to a decline in Cromarty’s fortunes.
