We are delighted that we can now open our new wildlife viewing hide close to Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park. We have implemented new hygiene and social distancing regimes to comply with current viewing restrictions but can offer an evening of wildlife viewing in a comfortable hide for up to 12 guests. We shall manage each evening’s bookings, to ensure we can keep guests at a safe distance, whilst ensuring that they can still see the whole of the viewing area easily.
At present, although the hide is accessible to wheelchairs, the viewing windows will be out of reach to wheelchair users. Bar stools are available if you can move from your wheelchair to use these. Please just ask if you’d like any more information of the viewing facilities and space in the hide. As the current restrictions are lifted and we can make amendments to the viewing area, we shall have a much greater viewing area for everyone.
The hide can be booked on an exclusive basis if you wish to bring your own family/social bubble for the evening. If you are looking for photographic opportunities, we have a photographic hide for one to two people that can be booked each night on an exclusive basis. If you are interested in the facility, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our website link as above.
We are managing the maximum numbers each night to ensure social distancing and have installed transparent partitions so that individuals/couples/family groups can be separate from others in the hide. A hygiene regime has also been implemented, so we include a health form with all booking confirmations, that we need you to complete just prior to your viewing date. Hand sanitiser will be available as you go into the hide and we ask all guests to wear masks, either your own, or those we can provide. Your guide will manage how guests enter and leave the hide. In addition, your booking confirmation will give extra handy hints about the evening so that you can maximise the enjoyment from your visit.
