Family Fun & Historic Adventures

Embark on a scenic journey from Edinburgh to Stirling, exploring Stirling Castle’s rich history, Kilmahog’s woollen mill, and Aberfoyle’s tranquil charm. Enjoy an animal show, visit the Old Town Jail, and experience accessible, interactive attraction

Begin your adventure in Edinburgh with a scenic drive to Stirling. Your first stop is the magnificent Stirling Castle, perched high on a volcanic rock. Enjoy breathtaking views and explore the beautifully restored Great Hall, Royal Palace, and Chapel Royal. Interactive exhibits and costumed guides make history come alive, engaging visitors of all ages. Note: Some areas have limited access due to steep slopes and cobblestones, but accessible routes and facilities are available.

Next, visit Kilmahog, known for its charming woollen mill and friendly Highland cows. Browse Scottish wool products and capture great photos with the gentle giants. While generally accessible, some areas may have uneven ground.

Travel to the picturesque village of Aberfoyle for a leisurely lunch. Nestled in the heart of the Trossachs, Aberfoyle offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Flat paths and facilities ensure accessibility for all visitors.

After lunch, enjoy the Aberfoyle Animal Show, a fun and educational experience featuring a variety of animals. The interactive setting allows kids to learn about different animals, with seating and facilities available for everyone.

Continue your journey with a visit to the Stirling Old Town Jail. This historical attraction offers a unique glimpse into 19th-century prison life through interactive tours with actors portraying former inmates and wardens.
