Itinerary
Luss & Loch Lomond — Conservation village · Loch views · Highland gateway
Leave Glasgow for Luss, a historic conservation village beside Loch Lomond. Wander its streets, visit the parish church surroundings and take in views across the loch.
Continue north through Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park as the landscape changes from Lowland Scotland into the Highlands.
Falls of Falloch — Woodland path · River Falloch · Waterfall
Stretch your legs on a short woodland route to the Falls of Falloch, where Highland water gathers and drops into a rocky pool beside the River Falloch.
The falls change character with the weather and are often at their most dramatic after rain.
The Three Sisters of Glencoe — Mountain walls · Clan MacDonald · Glencoe stories
Enter Glencoe and stand beneath the Three Sisters, one of the most dramatic viewpoints in the Scottish Highlands.
Hear the history of Clan MacDonald, the story of the Glencoe Massacre and the legends of the glen, surrounded by the landscape where those events unfolded.
Glencoe Visitor Centre & turf house — Lunch stop · Local history · Reconstructed dwelling
Pause at the National Trust for Scotland visitor centre for lunch and time to see the reconstructed turf house, inspired by the dwellings once found in the glen.
Food can be bought at the visitor centre; lunch is not included in the tour price.
Glencoe Lochan walk — Woodland · Peaceful water · Mountain views
Walk around the peaceful lochan, surrounded by woodland and mountain scenery — a chance to slow down and experience Glencoe away from the main road.
You should be comfortable walking for up to about an hour at a time on outdoor, sometimes uneven paths.
Glencoe viewpoint, Loch Tulla & return — Mountain scenery · Rannoch Moor · Back to Glasgow
Take in wider views across the glen, then continue through the open Highland scenery around Rannoch Moor to the Loch Tulla viewpoint.
Look back across the landscape before travelling south to Glasgow, arriving at approximately 5:40pm, depending on traffic and conditions.
