Glencoe & the Scottish Highlands

Our Glencoe & Scottish Highlands bespoke Scotland tour is the ultimate voyage through Scottish History and its rugged landscapes. Whether you want to sit back & absorb the scenery or discover the hidden gems of the famous & sometimes infamous Scottish Highlands, the choice is yours.

After your pick up and introduction to your private guide, we depart on our Scotland tour. Heading North West, passing the famous Kelpie Structurespart of the Helix Park and the largest statues of horses in the world.

Stirling Castle

Passing Stirling Castle, the most important castle in Scotland, you see the Highland Boundary Divide and get a sense of the landscape changing.

This ancient fault line, made up of mountains created millions of years ago separates, lowland & highland Scotland.

Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park

The southern highland village of Callander is an ideal first stop. A much deserved morning coffee & snack in this charming village that sits within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.

Passing lochs, mountains and beautiful glens make this a great start to our day tour.

The Highlands were once home to the ancient people of Scotland. The Highland Clans of Scotland were the last tribal system of their kind in Europe. The Scottish Clan system starts to be dismantled in the middle of the 18th Century by the British Government & King George II

The Highland clearances of the 18th &19th century’s and the subsequent mass migration of Scots throughout the world are one of many reasons Scotland is a destination for many. As a result, voted one of the best destinations in the world by Rough Guide.

Scottish Highlands

But whether you have a heritage in these lands or not, Scotland will stay with you forever.

Driving across Rannoch Moor, with spectacular views of Loch Tulla is a truly epic way to enter the Glen.

Glencoe, the main focus of our tour, attracts visitors for its awe-inspiring scenery, walking, climbing and of course history.

In 1692 The Clan MacDonald of Glencoe suffers a terrible fate. This still resonates with the people of Scotland to this day.

The Massacre of Glencoe

We spend this part of the afternoon exploring Glencoe, including multiple photo stops and taking in the magnificent views of this wonderful part of Scotland.

Many movies and TV shows have been filmed in the Glen, including Harry Potter !!
