Shore Excursions from Greenock

You will be met at Greenock port by your tour guide. From here we will travel to the city of Glasgow. We begin the tour with Glasgow Cathedral, moving on to Kelvingrove Art Galleries and ending the tour with a visit to the Clydeside Whisky Distillery

Offering you a warm welcome, your friendly kilted piper tour guide Graeme will meet and greet you at the port terminal. You will then be transported to the bustling vibrant city of Glasgow, often referred to as ''The Dear Green Place". Here, you will be shown the beautiful Glasgow Cathedral in the centre of the city. Steeped in historical stories of religious conflicts and fascinating facts, this Cathedral will leave you awestruck.

We then travel west of the city to the spectacular Kelvingrove Art Gallery/Museum. You can enjoy a leisurely browse among some splendid pieces of work from centuries long gone, to contemporary art. You may, if you wish lunch here, whilst listening to the organ recital which is played throughout the day.

Finally we travel on to Clydeside Distillery, a relatively newly established distillery of our national drink. You will be shown how it is distilled and get to sample the golden amber, but unfortunately is not as yet available for purchasing. There will be small charge for the guided tour/sampling by the distillery.

If a distillery is not on your wish list of 'must sees' whilst visiting Scotland, then we can offer an alternative sightseeing location, The Transport Museum, on Glasgow's Clydeside. You can experience the old trams, cars and bikes of yesteryear and sit on the old underground carriages. This museum is popular with young and old alike.

We shall then leave Glasgow and return you back to your awaiting ship at the port.
