A centaur teaches a tour Astrology on my Harry Potter tour

Edinburgh

The Potter Tour a private 2½ hour walking tour unwrapping the writing of Harry Potter, 85 per small group

A shorter tour with a shorter route popular with older folk who want to take it easy and guardians of active pre-teen boys who really want 10 hours of wand duelling then Dragon wrestling, bless them.

£85 for a small group, as of 2023.

JK Rowling is a moderately influential woman who's sold a few books. On this tour we dive deep into her history. Learn to use failure as a springboard, be inspired, stay committed and conquer the world. Discover the sights that inspired her and the cafes which fueled her. Experience how, through her adopted daughter, Edinburgh once more left footprints upon the world.

We'll see perhaps 40% of the interesting sights in Edinburgh's gothic old town.

  • We'll chat about Edinburgh's connection to Fantastic Beasts' Newt Scamander.
  • The inspirations and origins of various characters and beasts.
  • We'll visit a good few places which can't be fit on shorter tours including fabulous old College, romantic Riddle's Court, Surgeon's Hall.
  • Fun lovers can get sorted and keep their wits sharp with an occasional quiz.

And all the stuff of other Potter tours including the cafes Rowling wrote in, the Dark Lord's grave, Rowling's graduation ceremony. Victoria Street & other fan favourites.

66% longer than Pottertrail & their many clones.

My blog exploded the market, Edinburgh is now the battle of the seven Potters. Come on the tour that spawned them all.
